While Fox News continues to do their best to drag on the Rev Wright issue, they are overlooking the REAL issue facing their candidate: Bush is a liability and an albatross far greater than Rev Wright could ever hope to be.

In the survey, 43 percent of registered voters say they have major concerns that McCain is too closely aligned with the current administration.

According to the poll, 73 percent of respondents disapprove of Bush’s handling of the economy and 81 percent believe the United States is in a recession.

Nobody is over looking it, we all just know he cant win an election at this point so its pointless to talk about it.

Obabma on the other hand has a really good chance. His story with this crackhead "man of god" nut is worth talking about.

I think the Wright story is a waste of time. If this is the stuff people make their decisions on, then no wonder things are so fucked up. We're being held hostage by a bunch of dumbshits.

The one thing that George W. Bush can do for John McCain is raise money. But the idea of John McCain running around the country with George W. Bush in tow seems highly unlikely – except in highly scripted settings where few people outside the party faithful see the incumbent president and the Republican nominee together. Given his reception at National Stadium in Washington DC recently, I doubt many people would give Bush a roaring ovation except the party faithful. George W. Bush is about as popular as Richard Nixon prior to his resignation.

But can you imagine George W. Bush in prime time during the Republican National Convention this summer? As the incumbent president delivers his usual spellbinder, the news media will introduce a split screen -- covering not only the address but the thousands who will be protesting in the GOP Convention in Minneapolis. This is going to be pretty.

John McCain would be wise to keep any mention of the incumbent president to a dull whisper. Bush will be as welcome as Lyndon Johnson was at Hubert Humphrey campaign events during the 1968 campaign – not very.

This is exactly why McCain is running as an American for Americans, who want better American leadership to bring them a better America.

It's kind of fun to watch the slight of hand in play, dodging the word Republican, because we know what happens when too many people vote Republican.
