I'm watching this right now on channel 8. It's worth noting this and about 30 minutes of election night coverage are the only things I've watched on TV in the last six months. My thoughts 30 minutes in is that the subliminal ads (and some other thoughts) are as follows:
- Conspicuous gas/oil consumption is good, even at $4+/gallon.
- Oh gasp, all these high school bands are from Washington State... this is so terrible and we need more unquestioned funding for schools in Portland. (Even if they immediately use 100% of it to raise non-teaching executive staff salaries, and continue to whine for more money.)
- Is anyone in the Portland Police Bureau actually on duty right now?!
- Recycling bins made of plastic (a petroleum product) are good and worth the obscene amount of garbage collection tax-er-"fee" increase.
