Congrats to one of best players ever. I can't believe he's been in the Big Leagues for 18 years.

If not for the injuries, what could have been...

Griffy seems more Valid than say Bonds Berry Bonds does. The whole steroid thing with with Bonds makes him lose his validity.I just don't put Berry Bonds in the same leauge as Hank Aaron.

I was lucky enough to see him and his Dad play against the White Sox at the Kingdome. No other ballplayer embodied the potential glory of the Seattle franchise more than the "Kid" in his prime. Forget Randy, forget Tino, forget Edgar, forget Alex, and forget Omar for a moment. There would never have been a Safeco Field, or the record season, or a stretch of playoff runs without the seeds planted by Ken Griffey Jr. Damn, I am so happy to be a baseball fan today. He might very well be the only clean player to hit 600 since Hank Aaron. Way to go Junior!

did a little math and from what I figured out if he hadn't gotten hurt and missed the games he did he would be at about 690 or so....To bad. Great guy. He dad was a pretty good ball player too. As they say if IFs were Fifths we'd all be drunk.

I applaud Griffey's accomplishments.

As a Mariners fan though, I am very bitter towards him. He forced his move out of Seattle in a very negative way, holding the team over a barrel, and throwing Pat Gillick, Lou Piniella, his teammates, fans and the entire region under the bus on the way out. He did everything in his power to be a pompous arrogant prick the whole time, and to me he showed his true colors.

I have no doubt that Junior accomplished 600 cleanly and the right way. I laud him for that. But, the thought of him EVER in Mariners Teal again makes my skin crawl.
