This from CNN Money.com"

"Sales of Ford trucks and sport-utility vehicles were down 36% to 101,981, with SUV sales plummeting 55% and F-series truck sales tumbling 41% to 38,789. Ford's F-150 pickup truck had until recently been the top-selling U.S. model, but it lost that title in May when it was outsold by multiple cars. Weak truck and SUV sales recently led Ford to push back the launch of its redesigned F-150 pickup truck that once was expected to drive the company's recovery."

Right!

If you need towing capacity, why buy new? Instead, buy my 1997 2-door CHEVY Tahoe, loaded! $4200. :-)

all these auto manufactures need to retool fast for 35+ mpg vehicals that will sell like hotcakes and they need to get them out by years end to salvage their posteriors...don't know if they can do...gov't regs might slow em down.

It'll be interesting to see how the BIG THREE retool their lines and what sorts of creations they put out in the next couple of years. If gas goes to $7 per gallon, who in the world is going to want to purchase an SUV?

Rent them, and don't own them.

That's going to be the future, IMHO.

Broadway, I didn’t realize you had such good taste in cars. From an esthetic standpoint, it’s a very attractive looking vehicle.

When they perfect the Lithium Ion battery for use in cars then look for everyone to have elec-Trick cars! Of course the by-product will be increased energy costs as the demand for electricity to fuel them goes up. I still think fuel cell technology is were the focus needs to be.
