Every time I see this neo-conservative bonehead on television I cringe in absolute disgust. Douglas Feith, a former high ranking Defense Department official that was one of the chief architects of the Iraq War, should be called one the Bush Administration’s chief Iraq War apologists. When confronted about the facts surrounding the war, like the absence of WMD’s in Iraq, sectarian violence or a US led invasion force that was much too small for successful occupation, he doesn’t seem to blink an eye. The facts seem to be nothing more than an inconvenience. Feith took it upon himself to create an intelligence office inside the Defense Department that used specious information which he tried to sell as fact. For that, he was roundly criticized for this undertaking by members of the Defense Department itself. Plus he tries to blame non neo-conservatives inside the Bush Administration for the shortcoming in war strategy. And for Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to call this moron one of the most intelligent men in government doesn’t say much about Donald Rumsfeld’s judgment.

Just another reason why we need another sheriff in town.
