I don't believe in karma. Coincidences occur more often than we think. But I do believe in payback and bad luck. I think payback is most suitable to describe the chain of events.

I don't believe in karma, bad luck, or any sort of metaphysical payback. I think that biases in our perception cause us to see certain combinations of events as "karma," "bad luck," "God's wrath," etc.
