This actually might be good. What was the last good movie that Stone made?

I hope it's more accurate than Stone's movie about the Kennedy assassination. He plays pretty lose with the facts.

The release date is Oct. 17. The election is Nov. 4.

I would guess Oliver Stone wants W. to influence the election in Obama's favor.

The trailer is awesome. I can't wait to see this. And DD, yeah, I hope it does influence the election. But why do you assume Oliver Stone is either pro-Obama or anti-McCain?

"JFK" is a brilliant film, although, yes, it is full of half-truths and even lies. The scary thing is, many viewers at the time thought it was "fact." Give Stone credit, though, for creating a highly influential piece of propaganda.

I think it's amusing Stone would do a film about Bush. I don't have any expectations about the film or worry about it being factual or not, just as I wasn't worried about "Fahrenheit 9/11" being "factual." It is a shame few filmmakers have had the guts to take on the Bush administration, so I give Stone some credit for that. Perhaps I will see his W film. Not sure.

No matter how hard Stone tries, he isn't going to beat W in the loose facts business.

Everytime I've read "Bush - loose with the facts", I get a mental picture of WPE as "Loose Stools".

Looks great! I'm gonna see it.

IMHO, W is perfect for Stone. Where there is ambiguity, he really shines because he can make it compelling.

All of the emotion surrounding this President is just bleeding to be channeled into a good movie.

Bet it's a home run!

--->I loved JFK, BTW. It sucked me right in, was very immersive and thought provoking.

KSKD sez: "It sucked me right in"

That's exactly what I want from a movie going experience.
