Female sweetie about 10 months old can hold it's bowels, sits, plays a mean game of fetch the ball but prefers sticks; the bigger the better. Bet you quit before she does. likes long walks in the park, likes to climb in your lap. Last owner obviously thought OK to sleep on bed and furniture, but will get down if you tell her.

Also likes corn on the cob.

Some damn SOB dumped her and sucker here thought she was "lost" so has been holding her for a week.

Signs and ads but no replies.
Humane society won't take her, the county dog warden will put her down in 24 hours, and Angels for animals will take her after 30 days and if I pay a 60 dollar fee at drop off! thieves. Whoever dumped her has my vote for first one off the planet!

I'll chip in $20 for her Angel's rescue fee.

If you find the bastard who dumped her, I'll chip in $50 for the same "special" shot or gas chamber that he doomed his "pet" to.

Id like to get my cattle prod out and go to town on the stupid Bastard who dumped that poor pooch.
I don't see how anyone can be so cruel to animals, especially to dogs.

Human Society on Columbia in Portland does NOT put animals down to my understanding. We have adopted pets their and have had only great results.

I'll match Mrs. M's $20, Roger.Seriously. My email is in my profile.

Will you keep her for the 30 days? She sounds like great fun! I have 2 cats and can't have a dog, or I'd take her...

There is a special place in Hell for people who abandon animals, and one in Not Hell for those who pick up the slack.

Good on you for caring for her.

Human Society on Columbia

Human Society!!!

I agree with Entre_Nous, very good of you to take care of the pooch.

I wish I could take her. She sounds like a great pup. But with a 4 month old grandson and the fact that we already have a dog and 2 cats (I take NO claim to the cats, though!) I don't think we need any more animals right now.

Yes I'll keep her till I find a home, but I am already the owner of 2 stray cats, and a 70 lb chow mix who is blind from cataracts. Would love to take him in and fix those eyes, but the cost is out of my budget. It kills me everytime he walks into something...... he was another that someone decided they didn't want and let him go. Wife found him in traffic no one every claimed him

I corralled the PB after watching several neighbors chase her away and I knew someone would eventually get the cops to pick her up or worse, traffic would claim her. The park seems to be the place to drop off unwanted pets. Thanks for the offers of financial assistance, but not your responsibility. But, next time out to the store pick up a bag of pet food and drop it off at the local shelter.

You could put an ad on Craigslist...Maybe have her spayed, if she isn't. That would be a big draw for any potential owner, and they could help you recover your cost...

Just thinking out loud... :-)

I will happily make the donation you suggested.

From Craigslist "not permitted" list:

Household pets of any kind including but not limited to dogs, cats, primates, cage birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fish. Re-homing with small adoption fee OK

That's why all the pet ads say "rehoming".

Stupid word. A friend has been looking at kittens on the List. That's why I suggested it.

Thanks, Skeptical :-)
