Just goes to show when the going gets rough for conservative right wing advocates, they pack up and leave. It's clear that they just don't believe their time here is going to convert anyone's thought processes, and although they love to dish it out they can't deal with the blowback of facts and evidence that makes their opinions like the holes in Jarlsberg.

Herb: Herb is probably just fine. Enjoying his family and Sunday church going where what he hears is what he loves. I'd be the last to criticize that part. The problem is that Herb wants to be a voice, himself, and his inability to deal with facts that fly in the face of his beliefs leaves him too frustrated to think straight. Herb sees the U.S.A. as a Christian nation going to hell because of the influence of the evil seculars. Now that part of Herb I laugh at and easily criticize. Clearly they didn't teach Herb that America is a nation of immigrants from all over the world that worship or don't worship a host of deities that all mean pretty much the same thing. Leave it to a brother Jew named Jesus to screw up how the Lord is interpreted on this Earth. Ha!!

Deane: Now here's a guy with a prime focus on wealth. More a traditional Republican than a right wing zealot. Deane was probably taught as a child to be a Republican and never questioned it, and still doesn't. Shielded from numerical facts that show what poor stewards of the economy the Republicans had been in the past is the reason Dean doesn't buy into the notion that all our economic woes are the Shrub's fault. He is blind to the fact that after years of whining in Congress, once the GOP got control in 94 handcuffing Clinton's administration the changes began to happen. By the end of the Clinton era, the Republican Congress's damage to the legislative agenda was beginning to weaken the economy. Then when Shrub (note: I've been capitalizing "Shrub" out of respect for the office, not the Shrub himself) got anointed by the Supremes the real damage began. Able to implement long dreamed of policy into law, creating energy and war policy behind closed doors, lying to the public about intelligence from overseas, etc. etc. I think Deane simply ran out of willingness to defend a party with an ideology so distorted in practice from theory.

Trixter: His computer probably crashed and there just hasn't been a compelling enough reason to replace it.

Other than the above, I can only add ....

Yawn.
