any one going to see "The Last Dance" one final Johhny and the Distractions show November 1st @Aladdin Theater. Bill Feldmann,Kip Richardson,Gregg Perry ,Mark "LaRue" Todd and Mark Spangler. Whip these lads up with Jon Koonce and you get a night of KICK ASS ROCK-N-ROLL a evening not to be believed .If you have seen them you know,If not, a night not to be missed

So, its water under the bridge for Kip and Jon, eh? Well, its been 28 years. Kip is one heck of a drummer and Mark Spangler is a first rate guitarist.

Skeptical,I remember when Kip quit and Jon played drums for awhile then had Kevin Jarvis play drums ,What is the Reason Kip quit?. Last time i saw Spangler play he was sitting in with the X-Angels at he Buffalo Gap when Tom Mcgriff was out for a short time great player and very underrated singer and writer "Sparky" rocks. Do you plan to see show @Aladdin???

Kip has been playing on mid-week gigs with Jon in the last couple of years.

Dude, we will be there for sure! So, we need to somehow meet up.

By the way, Jon has a new album out, "Songs From The Little Village On The River". In my opinion, it's his best, most consistent, and best produced record since the Distractions days. Seek it out! He'll gladly sell you one at any of his shows.

I've no clue why Kip quit except to say it was Quit By Surprise.

an anybody guess why this show is @the Aladdin a venue with no dance floor? This show is called the "Last Dance" wondering why not the Roseland or Roseland Grill or Wonder ballroom??

very true there is a small dance floor in front or at least a space to be used as one,I e mailed Koonce a few days back and was not forthcoming on why the aladdin ,but jon is recovering from a hospital stay due to pneumonia so maybe he will elaborate later...well i am off into "the octane twilight"

It will be pretty much impossible for my wife to not dance. So if you see a couple up there dancing, it will most likely be us.

I'd wear my original J & The D's black T-shirt, but either it has shrunk or I have expanded.
