ORLANDO, FL—

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin sought to silence those who have criticized her lack of foreign affairs experience Tuesday by announcing plans for a weeklong, 10-nation tour of Walt Disney World's Epcot. According to Palin, the trip—her first past Frontierland—will include speaking engagements at Norway's famous Viking ride, sausages at Germany's Kaufhaus, and, time permitting, a fact-finding mission to Future World. "This ambitious trip should finally demonstrate that I am ready to assume the vice presidency, whether by standing in long lines at Morocco's Tangierine Café or by sitting down face-to-face with Mexico's Three Caballeros," Palin announced during a campaign stop outside a Chinese restaurant in Tulsa, OK. "All of our neighbors deserve good diplomacy, from the Universe of Energy down to the French pavilion." Palin also promised a visit to the Am erican Adventure exhibit before returning home, adding that she hoped to learn more about her own nation and the diverse peoples within.

Thanks to the Onion.

It's not totally untrue. In the 80's I was at EPOCT and Bush the first was there as Vice President to visit China and other Pavilions. So maybe the article isn't a joke.

The article make not be but Palin sure is!

She has to wear ear plugs otherwise that sucking sound you hear would be air rushing in to fill a vacuum.

Totally unnecessary cheap shot DT.......

TONY ORLANDO, and FLORIDA—

Democratic presidential nominee Barrack Obama sought to silence those who have criticized his lack of foreign affairs experience Tuesday by announcing plans for a weeklong, 10-nation tour of Walt Disney World's Epcot. According to Obama, the trip—his first past Chicagoland—will include speaking engagements at Norway's famous Viking ride, sausages at Germany's Kaufhaus, and, time permitting, a fact-finding mission to Future World. "This ambitious trip should finally demonstrate that "I am ready to assume the presidency, show my willingness to talk to foreign leaders and experience the needs of the world, whether by standing in long lines at Morocco's Tangierine Café or by sitting down face-to-face with Mexico's Three Caballeros," Obama announced during a campaign stop outside a Chinese restaurant in Tulsa, OK. "All of our neighbors deserve good diplomacy, from the Universe of Energy down to the French pavilion." Obama also promised a visit to the American Adventure exhibit before returning home, adding that he hoped to learn more about his own nation and the diverse peoples within.

Thanks to the Unyun.

I guess this would be just as humorous to the other side.

BTW, Why is there no celebrity McCain supporter engaging in the foul, vile, vulgar profanity laced personal attacks ala Madonna and Pam Anderson, as well as a couple of others. Odd that I've seen both featured on radio and television dropping the bleeped F-bombs and more on someone they know nothing about, nor ever met, and it's news. And that gets me behind their candidate? How? Funny if she were a D on the stump for Obama saying the same things about the Rs, there would be no comments from the celebrity pigs. How much outrage would you have if say a Rush Limbaugh dropped a couple of N-bombs in a public forum regarding Obama?

Limbaugh would be fired.
Madonna, and Anderson are lauded given face time, and suffer no effect on their careers.

As Obama supporters you should be outraged at the celebrity bull that flows. As for Palin, is your choice so weak that you need these Palin shots to boost your faith in your candidate? Of course not. So, why go there?

Hammer the issues, stick to the high road and leave the fools to wallow in the slime if they choose. Why highlight the garbage of the campaign when so many issues are on the table.

OK Rog, so if and when McCain becomes medically unfit to run the country, are you comfortable putting Palin in charge?

I'm not comfortable with dropping F-bombs on candidates.

I'm not comfortable with comments like this;

"She has to wear ear plugs otherwise that sucking sound you hear would be air rushing in to fill a vacuum".

Nor would I be comfortable with a retort stating:

"and those big ears on Obama would hear that sucking sound from two states away".

That also would be an unreasonable response that does nothing to enhance the candidate or their position.

To answer your question. probably as uncomfortable with that prospect, as I am with the perceived experience level of Mr. Obama. Couple that with Obama in the White House and Pelosi running congress, I am really uncomfortable. The past has shown anytime one party has all the marbles, the result is less than stellar. The Conservative majority sure blew their big chance didn't they? The promise is always greater than the result. I would expect the Liberals to fail as well and for the same reasons the right did.

Therefore as I have stated, I am more than willing to vote a third party closer to my ideals, and hope everything turns out well for the winner either Obama or McCain. Personally, I have no confidence in either. That said, let the candidates nip at each others character if they choose. Root for yours without participating in the character assasination of the other side. Your comment certainly does nothing to strengthen you case for the O and B ticket.

Not too long ago I read a piece about OBAMA-BIDEN
and how similar it sounded to OsAMA BIn laDEN. Now does that sound anymore plausible to a pro Mac ticket than your comment was for a pro Obama position?

Obama wins, good for him, and I wish him the best on deciding a policy that is best for the American people. McCain wins, I wish the same.

A final thought on the bail out. Congress blew it. No conditions. They should have forced these companies that they will send cash to, to clean house at the top, no bonuses, no multi million parachute. No nothing. They got less than a "timeout" and free to move on to the next boardroom position with the same mindset as before. Clean the mess internally, THEN we'll see if you are now worthy of saving. MANY AREN'T, but they will be made good. Reward first THEN clean up. Here's your allowance in advance for the whole year. I hope you will do your chores.

You better have thick skin if you get into public life. 30 years in radio, performing as a mobile DJ, being a professional emcee and performing as a musician, I have had ample moments in front of a microphone to drop a turd or two. Nature of the beast. Been fired for a few I dropped but always rebounded.

The great American sense of humor shines during these times. We need it. You may not like what some comedians or pdxer's have to offer but no doubt we need the wit and frivolity as a balance against some dismal problems.

The last two general elections the 'Left wing spin doctors annoyed me the most. This time the Right wing spin doctors are driving me nuts the most. Dont know why, just seems so.

There seems to be an increased level of hypertension and panic amongst those Conservative spin doctors, cause they are behind right now , I guess. Hysterical people throwing all the pasta on the wall to see if it is steamed enough to stick.

The answer is simple KW, you're sick of the spin from the side that is on the defensive.
