But, McCain keeps talking about how the US tax system is not competitive for businesses. How can we be more competitve when most corporations are already paying ZERO?

In the 3rd debate, after McCain again mentioned corporate tax rates being so high, Obama unfortunately didn't counter (as he has before) how the effective corporate tax rate is much, much lower - after loopholes, writeoffs, etc. No one really pays 35%; most companies pay a far lower rate.

Corporations never pay taxes on the Gross Sales like "Joe the Plumber" thought, but the GOP didn't want Joe or any other non tax accountant to know that, otherwise the GOP would lose big time.
