What are shows like the Daily show or people like Bill Maher going to do now that they dont have George Bush and the Republicans to kick around anymore?

On a side note, expect Fox news ratings and conservative radio ratings to spike like they did during the clinton years.

Daily show will go on as usual but Keith Oberman is probably pretty upset that he lost all his material.

Like I said in another string....

Clinton watch turns into Obama watch on Rush's show.

Man, Rush going to be disappointed with Obama. He'll have to resort to making more things up than usual. "You can't make these things up, folks!" That's your cue that the very next topic will be something he made up.

I think Joe Biden will provide plenty of material to late night joke writers and even the Daily Show. But Obama himself seems a bit hard to make fun of.

There will never be a lack of material so long as unrepentant idiots still hog the spotlight and clog the works. We may lose the "Hillbillies from Wasilla" as cannon fodder for awhile, but the shrieking ghost of McCarthy will still haunt congress for another two years. Rest assured, there are still enough asshats around to find the funny.

Come and listen to my story 'bout mavrick Sarah
Started as a model at the Anchorage Harrah's
Then one day she was shootin' some moose
And got herself hired as McCain's chanteusse

Well the next darn thing the whole party goes wild
The handlers said "Sarah, you need duds in style"
So off to Nieman Marcus and Saks quick as can be
To spent the dirty money of the GOP

Luis Vutton, movie stars.

Bill Maher was on Larry King last night talking about this. He basically said that he hopes people dont hold back on making fun of Obama in fear of looking like a racist.

Bill Maher is great.

I heard some gossip about Sarah. This came from the Fox correspondent, Carl Cameron, who has been covering the McCain campaign from about January. He couldnt talk about this during the campaign due to confidentiality agreements. All this is comming out now though. And a lot of other discordant stories about the Palins and the Campaign in general, but here is one particular story that amused the Hell out of me.

During one of the campaign's world geographical and political 'cliffs notes' cram sessions as they were doing some tutoring for the VP canidiate , Palin heard someone talking about South Africa. She said , Ok, southern Africa. Someone said, No the country of South Africa. It turns out that she thought that Africa was ONE COUNTRY ! She didnt realize that Africa was comprised of 20 some countries. So they had to straighten her out on that one.

Well, now, I cant remember all the countries in Africa, especially since many of them have changed their names over the last 30 years. But I can say that by the time I was about 9 years old or so , I have known that Africa was comprised of many different countries ! We used to read about stuff like that in our ' My Weekly Readers" and so forth. And to say nothing of World Geography in the higher grades later on.

Geez Louise ! She is not a stupid woman, but must have majored in ' Cheerleader " in school or something ?

The sad part is that Palin is a product of evangelical politics.

Fundamental Evangelicals do not value intelligence.
In fact, they scoff at and ridicule "Elites", "Intelligentsia" & Science.

All of this threatens them.

Let's hope that this election marks the beginning getting these people relegated to the lunatic fringe where they belong.

I don't think McCain and Palin will be exchanging Christmas cards this year.

She may get one from the Obama/Biden campaign, however.

KW, are you referring to the interview on O'Reilly? Wow, I was amazed at what they were talking about. I knew Palin was not the brightest bulb, but it now appears she is straight up ignorant.

Oh ya, Cameron was on O'reilly. That is where I caught the story. Of all the issues discussed , I thought the one about Africa was most bizzare !

Also, about how she was having hissy fits over her press releases. Throwing paperwork around and blaming aids etc etc. Opening up her hotel room door to campaign staff wrapped in a bath towel as she just got out of the shower, when she was supposed to be ready to go someplace, stuff like that.

And I guess ever AFTER the RNC bought her 100k in new wardrobe, she often got "shop till u drop" urges, going out to buy new clothes again and bought 20k in new outfits for her husband as well and all this on the campaign credit card, from what I have heard. Some of this I can understand, but sounds like it might have been just a bit excessive.

I will bet dollars to donuts that Hillary didnt spend that kind of money on her pantsuits. If she did, she got ripped off big time !

Don't you just love that the RNC is sending repo men to Alaska to retrieve the clothing and items that supposedly belongs to them. Finally a job for Emilio Estevez.

Just read that over $40,000 was spent on the "first dude" including spray tanners, silk boxers and 13 suitcases to carry all those luxury items. Wonder if the repo men are going to reclaim the boxers.

Are their 15 minutes up yet?

I didnt know about the RNC repo-ing the clothes ! God, that is bizzare ! I would have thought they would be just writing all that off. In the scheme of things, it really isnt that great an expense.

All political, must be in light of the brew ha ha over Wall Street CEO bonuses.

Not ONE word out of Shaun Hannity last night about any of these issues regarding Sarah Palin or her family. Any and all discussions of this showed up on O'Reilly.

Hannity can't be too pleased that the guy who one upped him is going to be Obama's press secretary.

Can we all grow up now?

Seems like everyone here is like the conservative radio, can't take the high road when you win... gotta kick someone in the ass on the way in. I'll start looking for my funny if people won't grow up and leave the sandbox.
