So, were is the cheapest gas in town? Maybe we can save some green by alerting everyone to were the low prices are or unadvertised specials!

Dave's Palisades in LO was 1.99 on Friday.
Costco is next cheapest, 2.08 in Wilsonville, a few pennies more at Airport Costco...

Do anyone of you car people have an opinion on Costco gas? Good? Bad? I've being buying it there.

The minus at Costco is the waiting in line. I waited about 30 minutes last Sunday evening at Wilsonville, so wasn't worth it, and you can't get out of the line! I've never had to wait long at the airport (138th & Sandy) Costco, though.

Drove to Eugene on Thursday. $2.19/gallon near Woodburn I think - truck stop south of the one with the Popeyes anyway...

$2.29 for regular at the Chevron North Wilsonville exit of I-5.

I find that the gas stations near the Wilsonville Costco (e.g. Chevron) are often only a penny or two more than the Costco and rarely crowded. For an extra 2 cents/gallon I'll gladly get gas for no wait rather than endure the Costco rush.

I travel to Eugene once a week and have noticed that gas is consistently cheaper there than almost anywhere else in the valley.

On the other hand, I live near McMinnville and have found gas to be consistently HIGHER than most places.

Pacific Pride only for me. No lines. Their prices are about in the middle of the pack.

Ya, well 2.33/gallon is a big deal over here now.

Feels like two years ago !

The north pole ice cap didnt melt , like many said it would. There is snow in the mountains now and gas is cheap, and what happened to those T. Boone. Pickens spots? Seems they went south about the time that Wall Street started to Puke.

It's $2.17 at the Damascus 76, generally one of the cheaper places in tri-county. The Safeway next door is $2.19, but if you collect up the Safeway gas discounts you can go even cheaper - one time I saved 40 cents per gallon. (Wonder if Safeway is going to end that promotion now that prices have plummeted?)

Was still $2.40+ in Chicago area yesterday when I flew in.

1.63 is the least expensive I saw. It's always ARCO round my house that offers the lowest.

You must not go anywhere or have your eyes shut. It is under $1.60 all over town at different places.

Skybill, Akron is running around 1.53 now, with some areas as high as 1.75. why didn't you stop in or call and say hi?

Jimbo, I'm not saying I've done a complete survey around Salem. Along my route that I regularly take, 1.63 was the lowest I noticed. 1.65 is where it stands now.

Maybe I'll drive to Portland to save a dollar a tank. Maybe TWO dollars.

BREAKING NEWS

NEW GAS PIPELINE!

A new natural gas pipeline was installed which should supply natural gas for the rest of the winter. What's it's source you might ask? Well, it feeds directly out of Bun's house!

So, when you see that flame in the ol' gas fireplace turn from bright yellow to dingy orange you know you are getting gas from that new supply!
