But no Ramos & Campion sp? Two US Border Patrol agents in Federal Prison for shooting a drug dealer/trafficker. Go figure.

It certainly would be interesting to know why the various people in that article--mainly drug offenders--are being pardoned, yet the two Border Patrol agents are not.

While I certainly am NOT one to support Bush on most anything, I will give him credit for the fact that his Presidential pardons are a lot less numerous than many previous Presidents, roughly half of both Clinton and Reagan for example.

I understand it's an absolute right according to the Constitution, but I don't like it personally ...

Me neither, but I think it's necessary. And I think it's either unchecked, or doesn't exist, or it does not serve it's purpose.

Given we have a President of good character, it's a release valve for a justice system that isn't perfect. I like that.

What I don't like is the result when we don't have a President of good character.

Our democracy is supposed to filter out the douche bags, but it just doesn't always do that. Seems one can be personable enough to win the election, yet still be a douche.

Ugh...
