Sounds like it to me.

Just heard "In Bloom" By Nirvana on the Buzz, an AWESOME Nirvana song, infact its one of my favorites.

I also heard "Closer" By Nine Inch Nails.

The music really seems to be changing on the buzz. As weird as this may sound, Im actually starting to like some of their music selections. Hearing deeper tracks from Nirvana like "in Bloom" is a nice touch.

Nice job with the Music -KRSK! Its sounding A LOT better!

Does this mean they are changing from competing with their Charlie, to competing their 'NRK?

I'm sticking with the "105.1 The Fan" rumor I started on another thread. :-)

I don't know Randy, but I do find this a bit weird. While NRK, The Buzz and Charlie are different stations, the music selections are starting to get similar! The music on the buzz is changing, you would have to be deaf not to notice that, and I think it is changing for the better! Its weird that they have 3 stations that are all targeting the same demo 30 year old women. While NRK used to be targeting Guys only, they are not that way anymore.

Or how about this for musical chairs:

"The Buzz" becomes NRK, so "The Fan" can move to FM 94-7 to compete with The New Fox Sports 95-5.

Just heard "even Flow" By pearl Jam on the Buzz. Here is another great song added to the Buzz.

The new GRUNGE 1051 playing the best Grunge rock for the 90's

Does 1051 have a new music director???.

So jamie Cooley is the new music director of The Buzz?

That makes sense if she is. Someone in the demo who knows what people her age are actually listening to. For so long I think the music has been such crap, its good to hear some real music on that station. If it is Jamie, she is doing a good job!

105.1 is still playing pop, along with the alternative rock. It's a great variety!

Timberfake you are so naive. Jamie Cooley didn't actually have much to do with the music at 94.7. Most music directors aren't powerful enough to change a station's musical identity. That's all PD and above.

I highly doubt 105.1 is changing to an alt format. That would not only compete with 94.7, but also with what 101.1 has become recently. Not enough room for that in Portland.

"The Buzz" Gets A New Show 7 to Midnight. This from All Access:

-----Entercom Debuts Nat'l Hot AC Show 'Your Time With Kim Iverson'-----

Last night (3/31) ENTERCOM launched a new national Hot AC show, "Your Time With Kim Iverson," on eight of its stations: WZPL/INDIANAPOLIS, WTSS/BUFFALO, WMC-F (FM100)/MEMPHIS, KFBZ/WICHITA, WPTE/NORFOLK, KAMX/AUSTIN, KALC/DENVER, and KRSK/PORTLAND. The five-hour show is based out of KAMX, and airs live in all local time zones.

ENTERCOM VP/Programming BILL PASHA told ALL ACCESS, "ENTERCOM decided to undertake an initiative to raise the level of content at night in each of our markets, and felt we could be more competitive with more content that focuses on, and truly entertains women, and KIM is the one to bring it all together."

IVERSON has an extensive radio background, having worked for ENTERCOM in SACRAMENTO, and doing news for CABLEVISION's CHANNEL 12/NEW YORK, too. "On last night's show," explained PASHA, "KIM had experts on hair, fashion and food, and guests like JODI FOSTER and JOHN MAYER. She's got regulars like LISA LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD's LISA JOHNSON MANDEL.

"KIM is very interesting and she gets the mindset of the target. She worked for us in SACRAMENTO and recently worked for WPIX-12/NEW YORK as a news reporter. We really feel that she's the kind of person who can, in a meaningful manner, blend with food, fashion, fun and lifestyle. Men will like it, too -- it's like having someone on the other team's playbook giving you the plays!"

While there was no confirmation or hints from PASHA, ALL ACCESS has already heard that ENTERCOM is likely to try this concept in other formats. Could the next stop be Country?

LOL Ive never laughed so hard in my life! No chance in hell a guy will be listening to this show. I tuned in the other night and some woman was complaining about her menstral cramps! ( will never listen again, although Ive never been able to stomach the music on the Buzz anyway!
