KKMO has a music format on an AM without full market coverage. In addition, some of their fringe signal will virtually disappear in the near future, when KRKO raises power. If they can get nearly $3.7 million now, I'd go for it.

I believe the folks who bought the station are quite familiar with Bustos since the guy who bought it does some programming in San Jose a market Bustos is in. They may have worked a deal where now Bustos will buy El Rey and then package one or two of his AMs to either Salem or the guy that bought KKMO. Its a behind the closed door type deal.

Those who have been trying to negotiate for KKMO or El Rey got schooled by Bustos in the art of negotiations and buying radio stations.

Even if the company that bought KKMO didn't colaborate with Bustos, Salem from what I understand wanted to sell KRYP with KKMO and would only sell KRYP alone only if KKMO is sold.

Mark my words......

Semoochie is probably correct. The additional reason that Bustos would be happy with above possibilities.... They would own the Seattle market and the Portland Spanish radio market.
