OK, seriously--this thread is a great idea. Post things you're tired of reading about. Encourage others to read the thread and not post about said topics.

Voicetracking sucks.

Here is an idea, If you don't like what people are writing, DON'T READ THEM! You have the power to skip over these posts. If people are really passionate about certain things like anti-voicetracking, they should be able to talk about it, AS MUCH AS THEY WANT! If I feel strongly about something, I am going to talk about it in my posts. If you don't want me to talk about it, than guess what??? TOUGH CRAP, im going to!
Just because YOU'RE tired of Reading about 62KGW doesn't mean that every body else is.

Chris, that's the point I was trying to make--even if voicetracking sucks, it's here to stay. Complaining about it these days is sorta like saying "hey, I heard Bill Prescott's no longer on KUFO mornings," which happened over 10 years ago; or complaining about the results of the 2000 Presidential Election (8 years ago). It's old news. Bringing it up doesn't change the results or history itself.

Newflyer I was being facetious. I was simply underscoring the point of the thread.

For the most part, I stay away from the really haggard topics, unless morbid curiosity gets a hold of me. This is a good strategy most of the time. Sometimes, though, people "threadjack" discussions with hackneyed old comments, or people are discouraged from reading and posting because the most recent discussions are old and tired subjects.

My top "obsolete" posts are:

* People complaining about Z100
* Complaints about IBOC on KEX
* Testimonials about how IBOC is the best thing to ever happen to radio and the only salvation of the broadcast industry
* Pleas for radio stations to revert to formats that they ran previously
* Complaints about the use of voice tracking
* Partisan bickering that boils down to "my guy is better than your guy."

IBOC/HD is the number one topic that drives me up the wall because we have gone over and over that topic so much that I know where everybody who cares about it stands.

Hmm . . . threads about KLYC didn't make the "obsolete" list.

If Boosh hadn't stolen that 2000 election we would have the sucky voice tracking problem that exists today.
