Just curious. That station would sound so much better with some live jocks in the afternoon! That station sounds dead in the water without any talent in the afternoon. It sounds like the old Movin 1075 that was jockless and went nowhere!

I don't want to be picky or anything but there's not only already a thread about this exact topic but the wording is almost identical! On my computer, it's currently 6 lines down from this one.

Bring Ck and The Badboy Broadcast to Jammin 1075 in the afternoons. That would be a PERFECT FIT!

CBS will not likely invest much, if anything at all, into either 1075 or 1067 from this point onward.

Well It would be a travisty for CBS to put all this effort in bringing Jammin back and not including an aftenoon show, WHICH IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY PARTS!! That would make no sense at all.

Hmmmmm.......wouldn't an evening show on this type of format have more listeners than a morning or mid-day show? Hell, most of this demo is still in bed asleep at noon! Then once school starts you loose a huge part of your audience until mid afternoon. Late afternoons and evenings, say 2 to 10, just seems to me to make more sense in where to put on a live show. IMHO of course.

afternoons, when every kid is getting out of school and listening to the radio. I think Afternoon is an extremely important Daypart.
Maybe Terry Danner can give her thoughts on how important an Afternoon jock is.

I would think afternoon is more important than evening because aren't most kids watching tv at night??
At 5pm every one is stuck in traffic in their car. I would think stations would put their strongest air talent in the afternoon. Although back in the day I remember Z100 used to put some really solid jocks on in the evening. Rich E Cunningham(Who is now working in seattle and goes by Bender) was always on in the evenings, and that guy was damn good! He would have tons of phoners, high energy, and that was back in the mid 90's before they had computer editing.(I wish I could find some of his air checks when he was on Z100 back in the mid 90's. He always had one of those booming, over the top voices that really stood out. He was a true Top 40 jock.
I believe he was also fired by Michael Hayes, when he was doing mornings in Pittsburgh.
One of the best top 40 jocks in the country!
And Michael Hayes fired him! Go figure.

Either that or they are hanging out in the parking lot at the Battle Ground Fred Meyers! You should see that place on the weekend evenings, it's like the gathering place for all of the teenagers in the area. Back in the day the place to hang was always lower river road for the races or beer bottle beach! Either that or cruising the loop around the Dairy Queen downtown Vancouver!

PK's paycheck took care of the Budget CBS had. I heard PK is making an insane amount of money, Close to what Nelson is making and nelson is the highest paid jock in portland.
I don't think they would have any money left in the budget to get Ck. I hope I'm wrong because it would be cool to hear someone good in the afternoon on jammin.

The playhouse is syndicated on 4 other radio stations, so You can assume he is making some good dough, I would guess more than Murdock.

Jammin is sounding a lot better. Im hearing a lot more of the new hip hop, especially at night, and they have the 4 hours of brand new hip hop on sunday nights.
Now if they would just get a good jock in the afternoon that station will be unstopable.
