Could this be a record, I don't know.

So get this. Kid Rocks new single "all summer long" is being played
on
Z100
105.1 The Buzz
Kufo
KupL
The Wolf

Hot Ac, Country, Top 40, and Rock radio are all playing the new Kid Rock song. Thats 4 different formats playing the same song. Now I"ve heard of Crossover hits because that does happen, BUT hearing the same song on A Country station and a HARD ROCK station strikes me as a bit odd.

If anyone can think of any songs that crossed over this many formats at the same time, please let me know. I cant remember the last time a song was on A hard rock station and a country station.

One last thought about the new Kid Rock song. The Royalties must be rolling in since just about every format is playing his new single. Now my question is, Is Kid Rock getting the royalties to this song??? The guy did write the lyrics to the song BUT The music is a blatant rip off of Lynard Skynard's "Sweet Home Alabama" and Warren Zevon's "werewolves of London".

I don't think Kgon is playing the new Kid Rock single, BUT I have noticed that other Classic Rock Stations around the country are adding the song to their playlist, thats right CLASSIC ROCK STATIONS!!!
So Really in some markets, the song is being played on
Hot Ac, Country, Top 40, Mainstream Rock, AND CLASSIC ROCK stations. Thats 5 different formats that one song is being played on!
Is that the record for one artist being played on 5 different formats, or has another artist in the past done this?

There was a time that Country would crossover Pop artists like CCR or the Eagles so that would be CHR, AOR, AC, Country and AAA, if it existed yet. That isn't as many formats but covers just about everyone under 55!

CCR was actually played on Country stations back in the day??? Thats interesting, I never would have thought that.

I find it odd that Country stations don't play Johnny Cash, yet Rock stations all over the country are starting to give Johnny Cash heavy airplay. Go figure!

How about the Carpenters? "Top of the World" was on CHR, Country, AC, MOR and B/EZ, along with just about everything by Anne Murray!
