I'm curious to hear if anyone has an opinion on Kenny Vance this week on The game. I admittedly only listen to The Game for about a half hour while driving home from work, but it seems every tiem I've tuned in this week, Vance is laughing about the changes to the morning show.

In a world where Djs and hosts are dropped with no notice or explanation, part of me likes that Vance is talking about the changes out in the open. But there's another part of me that thinks it's gone too far . . . Mention it once and move on . . .

Thoughts?

Just a humble opinion, but I think it accurately reflects the changing vibe of Portland. Many people here used to be fairly reserved and, polite. That's why so many air talents in PDX sound like a butler. But now that so many, over half, are not from here it's rubbing off. Vance is reacting to what he's hearing, in a natural way. Talking about the morning show adjustments gives him some great, real, material. I think most like to keep it real these days. It's less bogus. Change happens.

I think its cool that KV is open about what happened with him and Katy. I'm glad that Kenny's still with The Game. My guess is that they are putting him with Wheels during Wheels after Work because Wheeler wont be available do to his show all the time during the Trail Blazer season, so KV will host the show while he's gone.

earlier this week they had a couple "ask the PD" (w/ James Derby) segments with Kenny and Wheels. that was some pretty good radio and, just like Kenny's ongoing airing of his "dirty laundry", you don't hear that type of frank, open discussion often enough on the radio.
