Here's a new twist to the thread "Who Is Portland Radio's Longevity KING?"

In this thread let's find out who in the Portland market has been on the air the longest in one time slot (shift). Just like the other thread, this Air Personality would currently be on Portland Radio and has consistently worked for this station in this time slot. This Air Personality has never left the station or time slot since starting. Who is EMPEROR of The Portland Radio Time Slot? And how many years? Let's find out.

Who has been around longer than you Craig? I have heard you since the 80s.

Wayne: We need air personalities that have stayed on one time slot. I was on many different times during my 18 year run at Kisn AM-FM. I wasn't very consistent!

Think of it as having had the exact same mail route for a long, long, long time.

Only not as exciting.

I get you now. I have been away for awhile. I don't think a mail carrier's job is all that exciting. I was going to mention Les Sarnoff but he wouldn't fit that category I guess. I heard he had cancer.Michael Baily has been at K103 but I don't know if he would qualify.

Do you want local deejays Craig? the morning guys at KGON have been around since the 90s. Rush Limbaugh has been at KEX almost that long.

Wayne: We're talkin' local Jocks here, not syndicated or satellite delivered DJ's.

Then I would nominate Michael Baily but has he been on afternoons the whole time on k103?
Sean Martin has done evenings on KINK since 1982

Wayne: Michael Bailey went from middays to afternoon drive around the time Craig Walker left K103. Michael does appear on the "KING" thread however.

That reminds me, how about another K103 personality that WOULD fit. John Erickson! I think he's been doing morning news on K103 since 1985.

Wow thats a long time I didn't realize he was still there.

Then Sean Martin the evening guy on KINK is the winner so far.

Wayne: Sean Marten has been on KINK since 1982 but I don't know if he's been doing the same air shift all that time. Sean is also listed on the "KING" thread.

Iris Harrison has been doing middays since 1991, maybe 1990.

1. Sean Marten, KINK 1982.
2. John Erickson, KKCW 1985.
3. Iris Harrison, KGON 1991-90?

I believe Marty Party was part of the same shift change as Iris, so Marty ties with Iris on KGON 1991-90? (very fitting!)
