He sounds voice tracked, what a FUCKING JOKE!!!
CBS really knows how to f up a good thing. He doesn't even sound LIVE. Plus the music was overpowering his voice and he was hard to hear on two of the talk breaks. Ck is a great jock live when he can actually put on a real show. He sucks voice tracked and sounds like a liner card reader.

Note To CBS- Bring him to Portland or HIRE A LIVE AND LOCAL TALENT FOR YOUR AFTERNOON!!!!
So now CBS has two voice tracked shifts and one on one of the most IMPORTANT DAYPARTS. Where are the contests, the Live energy???? This is something thats missing from the new Jammin 1075.
This station will be gone in a year, The hip hop community have been cheated. The listeners are going to realize REAL QUICK when the jock never answers the phone.

Half Assed move on the part of CBS but it really makes sense NOT to dump a bunch of cash into a format that has a limited life span anyway.

Notalent, They built a huge Studio specifically for the Playhouse down on First Avenue. They also brought the Playhouse over to Jammin and are spening a large amount of money on them.
What makes you think this format will be gone soon?? It it because you don't like the format??

Jammin 95.5 would have never been as huge as it was if they voicetracked that station. Jammin 95.5 had the high energy, the contests, that really made that station stand out. CBS just does not understand this.

Perhaps CBS shouldn't have acquired the station if they didn't have the budget to run it correctly. The talk breaks on Jammin 1075 sound like talk breaks on k103. They are liner card and they do absolutely nothing for the station. They are not engaging they do nothing for the listener of the jammin format.
Is there a ryhthmic station in the country that Voicetracks their afternoon show?? None that I can think of.
This is a new low for radio and CBS! Even Clear Channel is smart enough to understand that you need a live jock especially in the afternoon.

Has anyone considered that perhaps Rose City "parked" Jammin' over at CBS (with CBS's agreement) in order to get the sports station up and running before Blazer season, and intends to buy it back as soon as the CBS stations are officially placed on the block?

CBS wouldn't be likely to invest in a station they are just babysitting, in preparation for a sale.

This is pure hypothesis.... but it makes sense to me.

Why would Cbs spend all the money on bringing the Playhouse over and build a huge studio just for the Playhouse if they have no intention of keeping the station? Sounds like a TON of money spent for a company who is just babysitting the station.

10 years ago having a #1 radio show may have been something to brag about, and 10 years may not be long enough.

Today though, being number #1 in radio is the equivalent of being employee of the month at Arby's. YOU might be proud of it, but nobody else cares.

If I were CBS and wanted out of the market I certainly would not sell all the money stations and keep the weakest FM in the cluster.

Radio has become an "economys of scale" business. It is likely that every station in a given cluster will be sold once the company commits to selling part of that cluster.

I still think the reason you don't hear about Jammin' along with the other CBS stations is that there may already be a buyer for it (RCR). CBS may be just waiting to see if a potential buyer of the other properties is willing to match an offer that might already be on the table>

What I am hearing is really more akin to a really extreme rhythmic talk radio station. Yeah, like that prospect even has a snowball's chance in hell of happenning.........unless, of course, they actually flip their format to one that actually has music.....

Jammin has potential, but they need to get the music on track during the week because that is where the problem is. Compared to other hip hop stations around the country they are not playing any of the new hip hop. If I was jammin I would just copy hot 97's playlist. That is one of th best Hip hop stations in the country.
Kids want to hear the New Hip Hop, and jammin is just not delivering it.
Jammin will get its act together with the music, (Hopefully)

I believe Jammin would be better off to review the Power 106 Los Angeles playlist, as it is on the West Coast. Hot 97 New York is not quite our niche. East Coast vs. West Coast. Good to see they are adding shows now.
