Looks like Metallica's new CD Death Magnetic has already sold 1.2 million copies, and its only been about 3 weeks. It has outsold ACDC's "Black Ice." "Death magnetic" biggest selling album of 2008??
Im thinking yes! I'm listening to Death Magnetic" right now and I don't think there is a bad song on the whole CD! I'm wondering if this album will outsell the Black album.

Im wondering if ACDC's decision to release only in Wallmart is hurting their record sales. Yes they are still selling a ton of albums, But I'm wondeing how many they would be selling if it wasn't a Wallmart exclusive!

AC/DC was the second best selling album in it's first week. That's pretty good for only being available through one retail outlet (albeit the biggest one, but still). I don't think they're hurting at all.

GnR on the other hand... that might be a different story. Time will tell.

I think Chineese Democracy will be a huge seller, Doubt it will sell as many albums as "Death Magnetic" but it will still do really well. Its getting a Ton of airplay on rock stations across the country! Infact I can't think of any rock stations that are not playing GNR's latest single.

Rock n Roll Train is the #1 song on Mainstream Rock in the Country! Last week 1.287 MILLION people heard the song with 439 spins. GNR's Chinese Democracy 302. up 97 spins from last week.
